The Jim"E"Jinelli Show

“I learned very early in life that

without a song, the day would never end

without a song, a man ain’t got a friend

without a song, the road would never bend

without a song...So I keep singing a song.”

                                           -- Elvis Presley

Elvis is gone, but his legend lives on in film, music and memories. His belief in the words above, and his love for his fans, is what helped make him the legend that he is today.

Experience Jim Jinelli’s tribute to Elvis and you will quickly understand that Jim is more than just a tribute artist. He truly loves the performer that he pays tribute to, and the songs that he sang. Through Jim's extraordinary vocal capabilities, he instills in his audience the pleasure he takes in performing Elvis' music.

Jim Jinelli has been exciting audiences with his show “ELVIS: A Concert Experience” for over ten years. His obvious enjoyment of performing becomes apparent immediately as he forms an instant bond with the crowd. Jim uses his powerful,  commanding voice and remarkable vocal range to pay tribute to the King. With his natural vibrato, he is able to capture the “Elvis” sound like very few tribute artists can do.

A native of Chicago, Jim Jinelli displayed his musical ability early in life, singing by age 7 and learning to play many instruments by the age of twelve. While attending high school in the mid-seventies, Jim performed 50’s & 60’s rock & roll with a popular local band. In the years that followed, performing music became a major part of his life. Jim has been providing entertainment over 30 years for public, private and corporate events. His versatile voice allowed him to sing many different styles of music, but his heart remained with the music of Elvis Presley.

Elvis has been a major influence on Jim’s career. Growing up, he was exposed to Elvis’ music through his older brother. At the age of thirteen, Jim saw Elvis in concert for the first time at the Chicago Stadium. This concert had a profound effect on him. From that moment, the music and magic of Elvis Presley captured him for a lifetime. As a teenager, he would sing Elvis’ songs hour after hour, mimicking every word, every voice inflection of every song. He studied everything about the phenomenon known as the “King of Rock & Roll”.

Jim Jinelli’s portrayal of the touring concert years of 1971-1977 brings back many very fond memories of Elvis. Staying as close to the original musical arrangements as possible, phrasing songs exactly as Elvis did, Jim captivates his audience. His ability to get to the heart of Elvis’ style, capturing the passion of every song, is magical. As for his performance style, Jim refuses to portray a caricature of the hip-swiveling Presley, rather staying true to the legendary performers' stage style of the era, giving the fans an authentic Elvis concert experience.

Jim Jinelli’s efforts to maintain the illusion of Elvis’ look on stage is accented by authentic replicas of Elvis’ studded jumpsuits and silk scarves. Jim loves interacting with his audience, tossing scarves and having fun. He has the ability to make you feel as if he is singing only to you. His breathtaking performances of “Hurt”, "How Great Thou Art", “Unchained Melody” and "American Trilogy" have brought audiences to their feet, and his capacity to hold a note seemingly forever is remarkable.

Jim Jinelli takes pride in replicating the voice that help make Elvis a legend and is constantly refining his skill. He has seen Elvis in concert three times, and has met and worked with many people who knew and worked with Elvis.

“To have seen Elvis in person was an experience I will never forget. My hope is to provide a most memorable concert experience for his fans, to bring back some wonderful  memories, and to create a feeling that Elvis is still here, if only for a moment. God has blessed me with the wonderful gift to make music, and I am grateful to Him and the loyal fans of Elvis Presley for giving me the opportunity to share my gift with them.”

“I read comic books and I was the hero of the comic book.

I saw movies and I was the hero of the movie.

So every dream that I ever dreamed has come true a hundred times.”
